Alan De Back is an experienced learning and communications specialist with over 20 years of experience in corporate, academic, and government environments. He is skilled at developing learning and communications solutions to assist clients in achieving their goals.

As a trainer and counselor, Alan has worked with diverse clients from a wide variety of backgrounds. Specializing in the areas of management and leadership development, and communication skills, Alan has designed and facilitated workshops that assist participants in developing the skills they need to succeed in today's fast paced business environment. His approach is highly interactive, and feedback from participants consistently mentions his ability to connect and bring concepts to a real-life level.

Alan possesses a liberal arts undergraduate degree from the State University of New York College at Geneseo, a master's degree in human resource development from Rochester Institute of Technology, and a graduate certificate in Industrial Labor Relations from Cornell University. He is also a qualified user of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI).

Among Alan's professional activities are the Washington Metro Area Chapter of the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD), and the Metropolitan Area Career Life Planning Network (MAC-LPN). Alan served on the Board of Directors of the Metro DC ASTD Chapter, and also served the Chapter as Director of Career Services. He also is past coordinator of the ASTD Chapter's Job Seekers Special Interest Group.
